Cancer Treatment Centers of America Host Events to Raise Awareness on Prostate Cancer

Cancer Treatment Centers of America recently published an article with PR Newswire called “Football League Alumni Association, Cancer Treatment Centers of America and LabCorp Team Up to Offer Prostate Cancer Screenings Starting in September”. The article seeks to bring awareness to the recent campaign the three organizations have created to raise awareness about prostate cancer.

The NFLA, LabCorp, and Cancer Treatment Centers of America are hosting several events across the U.S. to bring awareness to the effects of prostate cancer and encourage men over 40 to get screened. The events include 2,000 screenings of Prostate Specific Antigen by LabCorp at any of their locations. They even offer a discounted screening available throughout the signup period.

The NFLA will be hosting a Prostate Pep Talk Campaign with a variety of NFL head coaches. It will kickoff with a press conference in late August with guests like Mike Quick, Jon Runyan, and Herm Edwards. Quick and Edwards both have experience seeing the effects of prostate cancer. Edwards’ father-in-law was diagnosed and had surgery to remove the tumor. Quick’s father similarly was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Cancer Treatment Centers of America suggest that screenings are incredibly important to detect early signs of cancer. The provided screenings will allow men to make informed decisions regarding treatment as well as providing early detection.

Cancer Treatment Centers of America offer personalized treatment with dedicated teams who specialize in cancer treatment. Each patient’s team are located in one place to help patients go through the process, from diagnosis to treatment, survival and side effect management.

They also specialize in providing precision medicine, a treatment plan that takes the fight down to the cellular level. Through advanced technology that develops targeted therapy based on genomic testing and immunotherapy, doctors are able to look at the characteristics which allow the errant cells to evade the immune system.
