Adam Milstein Loves Jewish Identity

Adam Milstein should be regarded as a hero in the world of Jewry because he commits innumerable hours and amounts of money toward the Jewish plight. His wife should also be considered a heroine, because she helps to contribute to the effort of advocating for the Jewish plight.

Jews have been a historically persecuted minority group in world history. They have always been hated, no matter where they went. Jews have always wandered around the world, not quite having a home and always living on the lands of other people. Israel is very important for the Jews because it provides them with a permanent place to call home. It is a place where the Jews can be themselves, govern themselves and not be under someone else’s foot.

It only makes sense that a Jewish country should be where Israel is currently located, since the roots of Jewish identity have to do with the Jewish religion, and the Jewish religion has to do with biblical events. Judaism came before and heavily influenced both Islam and Christianity. It should be respected as some sort of grandfather religion. This is why Jews are so important, why they must be preserved and why they must have their own country.

“Why I’m Optimistic About the Jewish Future In America,” is a declaration that everything will be okay for Jewish people in the future. Prospects are looking bright, and Jewish people will survive. This is based on Adam Milstein’s observations of young Jewish adults who are actively involved in preserving Jewish identity. These people include activists, people who have just arrived home from taking part in Birthright and people who are just really enthusiastic about Jewish identity.

Adam Milstein understands that people have different needs at different stages of life. This is why Adam Milstein has put enormous mounts of thought into funding programs that appeal to a wide variety of age groups.

The Bravery of a North Korean Defector

Yeonmi Park is a young North Korean defector who was born in 1993 in Hyesan, North Korea. As members of the working party, both her mother and her father were originally respected members in North Korea. Though the family started off wealthy, the events of the economy collapsing forced Yeonmi’s father to become involved in the black market. Ms. Park’s father led a smuggling business within the capital of North Korea which was eventually discovered as items that were being sent to China. As a result of this discovery, Yeonmi’s father was no longer able to provide for his family as he was sentenced to a lifelong sentence in one of North Korea’s labor camps. The lack of income and their isolation from the community forced Yeonmi and her mother to flee their country in order to start a new life in China.
All of these experiences of Yeonmi have been told in Ms. Park’s new book called In Order to Live: A North Korean Girl’s Journey to Freedom (see, http://www.amazon.com/In-Order-Live-Journey-Freedom/dp/1594206791). This book according to a Daily Mail UK review has eliminated the language barrier that was once a problem when she first had to speak in English to her audience. After much translation and reviewing, Ms. Park’s story is now being told and is a horrific and heart breaking story that is meant to educate the public of the horrors that the population of North Korea must face.

In her wikipedia like bio-book, Ms. Park describes her adventure and how the human traffickers helped her to cross the border into China. Though her father escaped with them, he eventually became ill and died during their travels. By 2009, Ms. Park and her mother had made it to South Korea though with many difficulties that come hand in hand with adjusting to a new life in a different culture. Since her escape, Yeonmi has written and given speeches about North Korea. Thought this is a dangerous endeavor, Ms. Park told the NK News she is happy to do it as it will help other refugees. Thanks to her help, she has been able to provide specific details and names that have helped smuggle thousands of defectors across the border.
